The Pain Point
Prior to partnering with Green Impact, Herc Rentals was tracking its environmental data in multiple systems and manually calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across nearly 400 locations. The company was looking to unify its data tracking and implement a platform that would enhance its ability to analyze greenhouse gas data and gather meaningful insights. The Solution
Green Impact implemented Net Zero Cloud and integrated it with Herc Rentals’ existing utility payment system and built out appropriate software procedures to fill gaps for natural gas and electricity data when needed. Our team also configured and tested energy use records and refrigerant estimates, which were linked to appropriate emissions factors to improve the accuracy and speed with which carbon accounting can be performed. We also imported legacy information for emissions, water and waste from previous years so that Herc Rentals would have historic environmental data in a central repository from which the Company can develop forward-looking models.
